Owner of Galway Salvage Gallery

Denis Goggin is an esteemed figure in the Galway community, known for his passion and expertise in the field of architectural salvage and restoration. As the Owner of Galway Salvage Gallery, Denis has established himself as a leading authority in stone carving, restoration, period fireplaces, garden features, and commissioned artworks.

Beyond his remarkable contributions to the world of salvaging and restoration, Denis is also a dedicated philanthropist and community advocate. Together with his wife Martina, he co-founded the Strange Boat Donor Foundation, a charity committed to promoting organ donation and establishing meaningful commemorations. In partnership with Galway City Council, the foundation spearheaded the creation of the Circle of Life National Organ Donor Commemorative Garden within Quincentenary Park Salthill. Since its opening in 2014, this remarkable park has not only become a symbol of remembrance but also a significant visitor destination, drawing tourists and locals alike.

In addition to his charitable endeavors, Denis serves as the co-chair of Corrib BEO, an organization established to enhance the social, economic, and environmental well-being of the Corrib region. Through community engagement and the exploration of the natural wonders of the region’s waterways, Corrib BEO aims to connect communities and foster a deeper appreciation for the natural world.

Denis’s dedication to preserving heritage and promoting community well-being extends beyond his professional and philanthropic endeavors. Recently, he collaborated with Brendan Smith to develop educational wildlife and heritage sculpture trails across Terryland Forest Park, showcasing the beauty and significance of the local flora and fauna.

With the launch of the new website for Galway Salvage Gallery, Denis invites visitors to explore his extensive collection of salvaged architectural treasures and commissioned artworks.
